Need a little help with costs? We understand that college travel budgets are often tight, and a professional development scholarship could be the perfect solution.
These scholarships are designed to help cover a portion of your expenses, such as registration, travel and lodging. While they typically don't cover everything, they can make attending the conference possible. All NCMPR members—from new professionals to seasoned veterans—are encouraged to apply.
You're eligible to apply for a scholarship if you are an NCMPR member in good standing and work full-time in a role that supports your college's marketing and communications efforts. This includes positions like director, manager, writer, graphic designer, photographer, or administrative assistant.
If you're a member of your district's executive council, you can't apply for a scholarship yourself, but you can nominate a colleague. If you nominate someone, you are not eligible to serve on the selection committee.
If you are awarded a scholarship, a check will be made out to your college and given to you at the conference. You can then submit the check to your college's business office to reimburse your eligible conference expenses.
Please note that you must still register for the conference and pay your registration fee in full.
Scholarship amounts vary by district. If you're selected to receive a scholarship, you will be notified in advance of the conference.
Deadline to apply is Sept. 15.
