    James Walters has been the executive director of NCMPR since 2020. He has more than 26 years of experience in community college communications. Before joining the national staff, he worked in marketing and web at Skagit Valley College in Washington state, where he worked his way up to director of marketing and communications, a position he held for six years. He played a large role in the college's Removing Barriers capital campaign, which helped raise $3 million dollars to support student equity and success. His duties over the years also included designing print collateral, community outreach, and managing the website and publications. He has his MBA in marketing and sustainable business from City University of Seattle and previously served as NCMPR's District 7 director.

    Natalie Daggett been on NCMPR's national staff since 2020. She previously served on NCMPR's board as the District 4 director.

    Lawanna Duran joined NCMPR in 2014 at the group’s annual board meeting in Portland, Oregon. Her background is in the private sector, where her roles have ranged from account executive at a Fortune 500 company to finance director for a U.S. House member’s senatorial campaign to public affairs – where she sought affordable breast cancer screening legislation on behalf of The Susan G. Komen Foundation.

    Before joing NCMPR in 2019, Jaclyn Youhana Garver worked in media relations and communications at Ivy Tech Community College’s Fort Wayne Campus in Indiana for five years. As an NCMPR member, she blogged, was District 3’s Rising Star and served as the Medallions coordinator for three years. Before working for the college, she worked in daily newspapers for eight years, at The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and The Daily Journal in Kankakee, Illinois.

    Megan Neumeier has nearly 20 years of experience in association management, supporting member engagement, board operations and organizational efficiency. She has worked for an association management firm overseeing financial processes, membership growth and CRM implementations that strengthen communication and streamline workflows. Her background includes customer service, board support and day-to-day operational management for membership-based organizations. Megan has a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from Northern Arizona University.
