NCMPR National Conference

The national conference, held each March, offers keynote speakers, workshops and roundtable discussions, all focusing on some of the hottest topics and current trends in community college marketing and public relations. The conference line-up features speakers from within NCMPR's own ranks, as well as leaders within the community college movement and communications professionals from the private sector. The national conference provides an excellent opportunity for NCMPR members to network with colleagues from across the country and obtain answers to pressing questions.

Marketing With a Crowning Touch
2009 Call for Presentations
NCMPR 35th Annual Conference
March 15-18, 2009
Kansas City, Missouri

Proposal Deadline: May 2, 2008

I'm going to Kansas City. Kansas City here I come. Well I might take a train. I might take a plane. But if I have to walk, I'm gonna get there just the same.

Take the hint from singer Bob Seger and get ready to discover one jewel of a city – Kansas City, Missouri – which will host NCMPR’s 2009 national conference, “Marketing with a Crowning Touch,” scheduled March 15-18.

Brimming with energy and creativity, Kansas City serves as home to the international headquarters for Hallmark Cards, the Harley-Davidson Final Assembly Plant, Union Station, several world-class museums (Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, the national World War I Memorial Museum), swinging jazz and cool blues, some of the country’s best barbecue, a thriving arts scene and the Kansas City Art Institute, NASCAR racing at the Kansas Speedway, gaming casinos and much more. The city’s new Power & Light District in the heart of downtown offers seven blocks of restaurants, entertainment and nightlife just a few short blocks from the conference hotel, the Westin Crown Center.

Planning for the 2009 conference is already under way, and NCMPR is seeking proposals for presentations. Submit your gems featuring best practices and strategies in marketing, public relations, enrollment management, fundraising and more. Submit your proposal today!

The deadline for submitting proposals is May 2.

Regional Conferences

Each of NCMPR's seven districts offers regional conferences every year in the fall. Like the national conference, the regional conferences feature great learning and networking opportunities, only in a smaller setting with colleagues from surrounding states.

Details about the regional conferences are generally available in late summer. For information, click on "District News."
