The D. Richard Petrizzo Award for Career Achievement honors a professional for career accomplishments in community college marketing and public relations. It is named after the award’s first recipient, a former NCMPR president who helped shape the organization in its early years. It is presented by the NCMPR board of directors at the national conference.

Eligibility Guidelines

  • Nominees must have worked an aggregate of at least 10 years at a community or tehcnical college or system office. 

  • Nominees do not have to be a member of NCMPR. No special consideration shall be givent to the individual's current position.

  • Members of the NCMPR board of directors and recipients of the national Pacesetter and Communicator awards are not eligible to receive the Petrizzo Award until after three years from the date of retirement from the board or from receiving an award.
