Individual Membership: $400
One membership for a two-year college employee. Includes full member benefits. Join/Renew
College Membership: $975
Three memberships for employees at a community or technical college, which breaks down to a “buy two, get one for $175.” All three members will receive full benefits. Other college employees may attend NCMPR events, such as conferences, at the member rate. Colleges within a college district must apply for a separate NCMPR membership if they have a campus with a separate name or CEO, such as president or provost. Join/Renew
College Membership Add-On: $325/member
If you have a College Membership, this fee is per additional member. Join/Renew
For example, if your College Membership includes
+ Four members, your membership fees are $1,300.
+ Five members, your membership fees are $1,625
+ Six members, your membership fees are $1,950, and so on.
College Member Add-Ons receive full member benefits.
Associate Membership: $475
New for the 2026-27 membership year, NCMPR's Associate Membership is available to those who support the mission of NCMPR but are not employed by a community, junior or technical college. Examples include professionals from four-year university partners, K-12 school district communications professionals and freelance marcom pros.
Associate Members receive all full member benefits excluding voting rights, eligibility to hold elected office, scholarship opportunities and eligibility for awards programs.

(Please note: This membership is intended to support community building, professional connection and knowledge sharing within the marcom and PR community serving community and technical colleges. Membership may not be used for solicitation, sales activities or the promotion of company products or services through NCMPR membership platforms.)
Retired Friends of NCMPR: $150
Also new for the 2026-27 membership year, the Retired Friends of NCMPR Membership is available to retired NCMPR members who'd like to stay connected to the association and the profession.
Retired Friends of NCMPR receive all full member benefits, excluding voting rights, eligibility to hold elected office, scholarship opportunities and eligibility for awards programs.

FAQs
What if I work at a college with a College Membership, but I’m not a member?
You may attend NCMPR events, such as conferences. However, you will not have access to other member benefits. To receive full member benefits, you can join NCMPR as a College Member Add-On.
For a nonmember at a college with a College Membership to attend an NCMPR event, such as a webinar, a member from that college will need to register the nonmember.
What do my full member benefits entail?

What if a member leaves my college?
NCMPR’s membership year runs July 1 to June 30, with a brief grace period. If a current member leaves your college, membership can be transferred to a different employee.
If I pay by check, when will my member status be updated?
Once NCMPR receives your check, your membership will be updated in seven to 10 business days.
