What are some of Julianne’s biggest accomplishments so far at St. Cloud Community & Technical College (SCTCC)? In her 2 ½ years at the college, Julianne has drastically improved the college website. She’s taken ownership of it, making edits, reviewing pages, and recommending changes or updates to organization, content or design. Thanks to her, SCTCC’s website has also gotten more accessible. She reviews all the PDF files on the site and fixes them or connects with the owner to fix them. As a result, the website looks more streamlined and has fewer PDFs attached.
What personal characteristics does Julianne bring to her role? Julianne is wonderful to work with. She’s often smiling and, even when she’s frustrated with a project or not having a great day, she continues to be professional and wants to find a solution. Julianne’s accommodating nature and willingness to learn are vital assets for the college, as the team works closely with many departments. Julianne also completes her work in a timely manner, and when she has questions or is unsure about something, she asks. If her supervisor is out for some reason, folks on campus know she can provide assistance.
What skills does Julianne bring to the college’s marcom and PR team? SCTCC has a two-person marketing team, so they need to have incredibly well-rounded marcom and PR skills. Julianne has absorbed the knowledge of working with many different design software, and she’s always willing to learn more. To be able to pivot from a print piece or website edits to stopping at an on-campus event for photos takes a specific kind of talent; Julianne has it.
