Becka Carroll
Strategic Marketing and Advertising Manager
Community College of Rhode Island
Warwick, RI

Becka Carroll, the strategic marketing and advertising manager at the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), works with clients throughout the college to develop, write and execute marketing campaigns and other projects. She is incredibly organized and well-versed in time management. She is the brain, and occasionally the voice, behind advertising campaigns to drive enrollment and recruitment.

Carroll has used her creativity to initiate new ideas for marketing the college in a variety of ways, including through Spotify advertising and by creating “CC:60,” which uses Instagram’s 60-second story video feature to share useful information to students.

Carroll is a compassionate, caring person whose strength is in unifying and bringing others together. During Pride month, her work stood out the most among her colleagues and identified her voice as instrumental in improving the college’s outreach with students and staff through the creation and sales of commemorative T-shirts.

She has also contributed greatly to improving the college’s culture during these current times of political unrest, helping the college in its effort to craft a stance that resonated with faculty, staff and students. She has helped lend a much-needed perspective to these often-uncomfortable situations.

Likewise, she is close in age to the college's target demographic, so she understands what students need and how they want to access their information. Carroll has spent a lot of time working with CCRI's social media team to create new concepts and innovative ways to deliver content through platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. She can relate to the student body in a way many others can’t, and her voice is key in helping reach community engagement and enrollment targets.

A 2015 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with bachelor’s degrees in film media, Spanish and French, Carroll is a born-and-raised Rhode Islander with a passion for social justice. She has been with the college since June 2018, and she started as the integrated marketing manager before receiving her new title in November of 2019.
