Your Connection to Community College Communicators

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,500 members from nearly 550 colleges across the United States and Canada.

Governance

NCMPR is governed by a 14-member board of directors. All of them are community college marketing professionals just like you who volunteer their time and expertise to deliver responsive member services and advance the interests of the organization.

Mission Statement

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations provides professional growth for those working in marketing and communication at community and technical colleges. With a focus on learning, networking and advocacy, NCMPR helps members become better at their jobs and supports two-year colleges in their mission to promote student success.

Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The senseless death of George Floyd and others before him is a national tragedy, and NCMPR stands in steadfast opposition to hate, racism and injustice in all its forms. NCMPR stands in solidarity with community colleges across this nation to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion – a commitment rooted in the belief that we must celebrate our differences and embrace diverse perspectives and cultures. We believe Black Lives Matter.

As a community of two-year college communicators, we can help advocate for positive, transformative change by doing what we do best – listen, learn and provide a collective voice that promotes opportunity through access, equity and education. It’s our obligation to convey messages of unity and hope – to assure students and constituents that community colleges provide a level playing field through education, and a place where everyone can feel safe, respected and valued. It will take all of us working together to create a renewed sense of urgency to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion prevail and that our campus communities are free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.
