Reporting to the President, the Director of Marketing is a full-time position responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and refining the marketing, branding, public relations, and communications plans for Highland Community College. This includes advancing HCC's position with relevant constituents, creating broader awareness of the College, overseeing and authoring content and copy development, conducting market analysis, and developing marketing strategies to achieve enrollment and fundraising goals set by Admissions and the HCC Foundation.

The Director is also responsible for overseeing marketing and communication for special events and promoting the College and the work of its faculty, staff, students, and alumni in a variety of formats and media.

This position requires extensive experience developing and leading strategic marketing and communications initiatives, excellent writing and editing skills, and expertise with online and social media. This position will work closely with the Director of Admissions, Director of Alumni Relations, HCC Foundation Executive Director, Chief Graphic Designer, and others to carry out the marketing functions of the College and will regularly deliver updates to the President and Executive Team.

Bachelor's in marketing, media and/or public relations required; Master's strongly preferred. Demonstrated successful experience leading marketing efforts.
